I have held my tongue, been polite one and not responded to this, but it’s beginning to really piss me off.
Lots of people don’t want to talk about race and ethnicity at work. They want to believe we live in this perfect utopia where no one is discriminated against. That we live in some bullshit meritocracy where you only get ahead based on hard work. That race doesn’t play a role in ethnic pay gaps, opportunities, arrest rates, school exclusions, maternal deaths and so many life outcomes affected by race.
No one ever declared All lives matter until as part of the overall conversation race, one strand stated that due to inequities it was important that like all other lives, black lives do matter.
None of these all lives matter voices were heard when it concerned FMG, economic migration, intraracial crime, disproportionate unemployment yet want to bring their unmoisturized ashy lips to a debate they should first listen to before responding.
Would you tell a cancer sufferer, all pain matters? Would you tell a person whose house is on fire, all houses matter? Well stop with the fucking insulting all live matters when you know what it means to focus on creating equity.
