Black business owners and entrepreneurs face unique challenges accessing the right financial tools and mentorship they need to succeed – and we’re taking action to change that.
To support thousands of Black business owners and entrepreneurs across the country, today we announced the launch of Canada’s first-ever Black Entrepreneurship Program. This program will include a new National Ecosystem Fund to help them access financial planning services and business training, as well as the Black Entrepreneurship Loan Fund to help them get loans of up to $250,000.
The program will also include funding to create a new Black Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub. Run by Black-led community and business organizations, the Hub will help identify the barriers to success that Black entrepreneurs face and the opportunities they have to grow. We’ll keep working with Black business owners, entrepreneurs, and organizations so they can excel in the months and years to come.
