On the failed attempt to install Olanipekun Olukoyede as acting EFCC chairman, I maintain my stance and won’t be blackmailed into any sectional support. Especially when it’s about people whose trade are personal and not sectional.
EFCC Act is clear on who should lead EFCC and should any impromptu vacancy be created, someone in the commission in line to the target specification is the one that shall hold sway.
While it’s unconstitutional that only northerners have been heading the agency, but for your clarity, no Hausa ever head EFCC till date. It’s been between four or five minority tribes with the exception of Ribadu who is a Fulani.
Moreover, those you’re asking to support ain’t there and will never be there for the southerners but for their personal selves.
Where was the same Osinbajo when northerners were installed as both the acting chairman and the Director of Operations?
Why did Osinbajo recommended his lawyer/consultant to be Chief of Staf to Magu and later Secretary of the commission, instead of southern security officers as acting chairman or substantive chairman when Senate rejected Magu severally; even if it’s as Director of Operations who will legally take over from the Chairman incase of events like this?
Was Osinbajo not acting president for months, why did the lopsidedness lasted till today?
I will not inherit anybody’s enemies in their own game of chess against themselves.
